The Vision for Baltimore program is proudly partnered with various local and national organizations to bring vision to you! We would like to extend our appreciation to these companies and organizations who work alongside us.
Vision To Learn
By providing the equipment and doctors to do eye exams for our students, Vision for Baltimore is able to give this medical service to all Baltimore City Public Schools students. Using their Vision Clinic, they travel around the city, checking students’ eyes and helping them choose a new pair of glasses. As a non-profit organization, this allows any student to get help and benefit from the program.
Warby Parker
Through their “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair” program, Warby Parker helps students in the Vision for Baltimore Program get the glasses they need. For every pair of glasses someone buys from Warby Parker, they help give a free pair to someone who needs them—like our students! They also make sure the glasses are fun and stylish, with many cool designs to choose from. This way, students can pick a pair they like and feel proud to wear every day.
Baltimore City Health Department
With the support of the Baltimore City Health Department, all students from Pre-K to 8th grade receive vision screenings at their school. Identifying students who may need glasses and referring them for an eye exam allows the Vision for Baltimore Program to follow up with families so their children can get the eye exam—something that might not happen otherwise or could be easily missed.
Baltimore City Public Schools
The students from Baltimore City Public Schools are the beneficiaries of the Vision for Baltimore Program, and with the support of the district we are able to access vital information from the 126 schools. School administrators, staff, teachers, and volunteers make it possible to work at the school sites and handle the logistics that bring medical services and follow-up care to the students.
